CastroWire: French-Moroccan Fusion En Route at Mystique

The Castro: Since work started at the shuttered Welcome Home (464 Castro Street, across the way from the theater), the project—called Cafe Mystique—has made sporadic appearances in the Plywood Report. As we near an opening, details are emerging: Mystique will feature a menu centered around French, Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes AND "redefined American favorites" that have, ahem, been "fused." Though the worrying term "fusion" has probably had its day, we can see Mystique working in that location if done well, especially given the heavy foot traffic. Oh, and all ingredients will be sourced locally and/or via fair trade, natch.
