Tendernob: Yesterday saw some chef comings and goings around town, and the shuffles anew continue today: Alex Marsh is no longer the executive chef at Brick. Marsh took over the kitchen in September of 2007 from Noah Tucker, who opened the restaurant in 2006.
Since taking over, Marsh toned down Tucker's experimental angle, got a pair of stars from The Bauer back in August, and turned Brick into a neighborhood favorite. Early word out of Sutter Street is that his sous chef is running the kitchen, albeit for now. As for Marsh, he's worked under a lot of big names—Morrone, Humm, Manrique, Stoll—so we're thinking he'll land on his feet. More on this story as it comes in...
