Froyo Wars: Swirl Culture Opens a Second Shop

Union Square: You didn't think the economic climate would put a damper on the froyo wars, did you? Hardly. Every major neighborhood continues to get their frozen yogurt representative, and the latest move has North Beach's Swirl Culture extending its operations to Union Square. After the hullabaloo it took to open in North Beach, we're guessing it was considerably easier in Union Square, but no word yet on whether the Froyo Happy Hour also applies to the new location. 211 O'Farrell Street, at Powell; website
