The Merc makes a rare trip to the East Bay to check out the new headliner at Jack London Square, Miss Pearl's Jam House. The review—a basic rundown of the menu—is a mostly encouraging take on the "the pleasingly kitschy 300-seat space," with winning dishes including the island gazpacho, the sweet potato fries, the meat dishes, and most of all, the desserts, which are "worth a visit on their own."
