Napa Dispatch: Michael Chiarello Sets a Date For Bottega

New, 1 comment

Yountville: The plywood is down, the orange awnings up, and a formal opening date set for Bottega and the return of Michael Chiarello. It's not everyday that a new restaurant opens in Yountville, let alone one by a local celebrity chef, but Bottega has declared this Friday, December 5th to be that day. On that note, resy lines are officially open. For you curious folks, a few sneak peeks of Bottega and its patio can be perused in the gallery above, and the NapaStylist himself has shared some updated photos of the space on his blog.

Michael Guthrie (Tra Vigne, Bix) designed/restored the vintage space in the V Marketplace. The menu is classic Chiarello rustic Italian. Nick Ritchie is the chef de cuisine, and according to the folks there, signature dishes include warm pecorino cheese "pudding" and house-made veal tortellini. As you can see, the two giant fireplaces are the centerpieces out on the patio, and the seating breakdown is as follows: 118 inside, 66 outside, eight in the private wine room. Important note: lunch service is slated to begin December 12th.
