Food & Wine offers up a few "clever" ways to save money while dining out. The ideas range from the fairly valid (corkage, specials) to the painfully obvious (order the cheaper items), but for some reason, we got a kick out of the recommendation to simply drink at home prior to dinner. [F&W]
