2008_12_newsomyelp.jpgSo, about that proclamation about which we keep hearing so much: "San Francisco-based Web site yelp.com was shocked Tuesday to learn that Mayor Gavin Newsom will not declare Wednesday as Yelp Day in The City, as was expected by company officials." But why has Gav turned the tables on Jeremy S. and his shocked cohorts? "[Spokesman Nathan] Ballard said the proclamation won't be issued because last year 'the mayor strengthened his policy regarding potentially controversial proclamations.'" You do hate to see that.
