FINANCIAL DISTRICT—At Aqua, Laurent Manrique has officially changed Ron Boyd's title from chef de cuisine to executive chef. Boyd has been the chef de cuisine at the restaurant for the last two years. Also on the Aqua front, they're rolling out a Seven-Course Monkfish Tasting Menu for the holiday season. The full menu is here and contains, among other items, Beignets of Gills, aka Deconstructed Fish & Chips. [EaterWire]

THE MISSION—Everyone's doing recession specials these days, but not all are, shall we say, bargains. But Baueriffic has named his favorite: "From Dec. 16-23, [Luna Park] is offering a three-course family-style dinner for six or more for $15 a person ... I've gotten about a dozen special deals being offered by restaurants recently, but this is the best." [BauerBlog]

FOOD NETWORKFN Addict points us to a contest on Food Network's website that is too painful to ignore and look away: an interactive contest called "Are You That Guy?" It's a gallery of people who think they look like Guy Fieri and would like to broadcast said resemblance. Really. [FNA]
