Even though not many new tidbits are revealed in the Chron's long piece about the current doom and gloom of the restaurant industry, it does aggregate many of the struggles. We already know about Jojo's closure, Michael Mina's cutting of hours/staff, and the various promos, but even the experts say it's really bad: "Clark Wolf, a national restaurant consultant with offices in New York and in the Wine Country, said restaurateurs have been known to cry poverty, 'but this time it's really true,' adding that across the country he's seen sales down from 10 to 40 percent."
