EaterWire: Kronner Out at Serpentine, Terra's New Menu

New, 2 comments

DOGPATCH—The Hippity Hopstress reports that Serpentine is undergoing some chef changes: "Chris Kronner, the executive chef of Serpentine who has been working at owner Erin Rooney’s Slow Club and Serpentine for a combined total of almost four years, is departing at the end of the month." Ottimista's Matt Mark Young will be his replacement. [TH]

ST. HELENA—Given the holiday season, Lissa Doumani and Hiro Sone will be tacking on a shiny new tasting menu to the daily offerings at Terra. Starting this Thursday (the 11th) and through December 22nd, they'll be offering a special four-course dinner for $45. Given that Ad Hoc's menu is $48, we'd say that's a pretty good deal for a tasting. [EaterWire]

DOGPATCHUrbino, the next restaurant in the A16-SPQR empire, is predictably creating buzz, and Food & Wine has already declared it one of America's next great Italian restaurants. As a bonus, some recipes for piadini—which will apparently be on the menu—are shared. Background reading on Urbino can be had in the Eater Archives, naturally. [F&W]
