EaterWire: Chez Papa Sets Date, Gustofino Shuttered?

MINT PLAZA—A tentative opening date has been set for Mint Plaza's Chez Papa. Assuming all goes to plan (never a good bet, we know), the first formal restaurant in Mint Plaza just ... might ... open on February 19th. More from Minty next week. [EaterWire]

THE CASTRO—With a disconnected phone number and reports of a bare interior, it looks like Gustofino Fine Foods—just opened in October—may be doneski: "It's totally cleaned out. All of the hardware and signage is still there, but nothing else." Well now, that was quick. [Chowhound]

CITY-WIDE—If you haven't heard, it's Super Bowl weekend, so you can expect plenty of celebrations at local restaurants and bars. Among others, Luna Park is offering special "Tailgate Platters" for pickup or eat-in, while Enrico's is doing a makeshift tailgate, though the party there is accompanied by this oddly-worded warning: "minimum charge is $250 for drinks and food for the first six people." To which we reply: huh? [Zagat]
