A fairly quick turnaround is underway at 465 Grove Street, where Zoya shuttered about a month ago. With new signage already up, Double Decker is looking to open in the two-story space—see what they did there with the name?—later this week. Considering Zoya's reputation, not to mention the likes of Jardiniere, Citizen Cake, Sebo and Absinthe all around the corner, Double Decker will be a big departure for Hayes Valley's ever-mounting stockpile of gourmet dining. The no-frills, non-local, non-organic traditional American menu features your basic burgers ($5.95-6.95), chicken sandwiches and well, lots of buffalo wings, including a bucket of 50 for $30 and a Wednesday $11.95 "All You Can Eat Wings Night." Perfect for a pre-opera dinner, if you ask us.
