THE MARINA—The long-awaited sale of Eastside West officially began earlier this week, and now the escrow waiting game begins. According to a source there, the bar/restaurant has not decided when exactly to close, as the selling powers that be are considering either April 1 or May 1 as the two courses of action for their finale. Somewhat ironically, they'll be celebrating their ninth anniversary on Saturday. [EaterWire]
UNION SQUARE—Citing their main competition as Yoshi's, the folks behind the $1 million Rrazz Room are finally ready to unveil their cabaret club: "On Monday, in conjunction with his business partner Rory Paull, [Robert] Kotonly will officially take the wraps off the long-planned Rrazz Room in the Hotel Nikko. Monday's gala opening of the 190-seat club, which occupies a lobby-level space formerly used as a meeting room, gives San Francisco a new, centrally located home for cabaret. Rrazz Entertainment, Kotonly and Paull's company, has a 15-year lease on the space, with options to renew." Also, cover charges may reach $60. [Chron]
