To support World Water Week (March 16-22), a slew of Bay Area restaurants are encouraging their guests to donate $1 for the tap water they normally drink for free. The money helps children around the world get safe drinking water—one whole dollar can get a kid 40 days of clean drinking water in a place like Mudtukadu, India. Compared to some other big cities, the participating local restaurants list is a bit slim, but includes Fifth Floor, One Market, CAV, Andalu, Bar Bambino, the Slanted Door, and many more.
