EaterWire Midday: Mass Exodus at Sens; Dotson Out

New, 12 comments

EMBARCADERO CENTER—Late last night, we heard heavy rumors that some massive exits went down yesterday evening at Sens, and today, the restaurant is confirming them as true. You'll recall that Sens already underwent a relatively small kitchen shuffle last month, and now comes the scoop that executive chef/partner Michael Dotson, GM/sommelier Saeed Amini and Private Events Coordinator Moira Beveridge are all out at the Embarcadero Center restaurant. Though it's unclear on the exact reasons for the moves—i.e., on whose accord it happened and why—we do know that Dane Boryta will taking over executive chef duties starting Thursday. Boryta was the opening Chef du Cuisine at Sens, but hasn't been at the restaurant since January because of family obligations. [EaterWire]
