Last week, the Pacific Fishery Management Council canceled commercial and recreational salmon fishing in California. On Saturday night, a photo-snapping tipster sent word that Fish & Farm—the rising star restaurant that purports to use ingredients from a 100-mile radius—was still serving up "local" salmon. Now, we're not the first to wonder just how "strict" that 100-mile rule is, but it would appear that either a) that salmon is from nowhere close to that 100-mile radius or b) that salmon is (gasp) farm-raised, which would certainly put the restaurant's name in a new light.
