Downtown Rumormongering

2008_04_cornerpowell.jpgA high-profile restaurant possibility has landed on the radar, as Curbed SF brings word of a recently renovated downtown retail building whose fully-customizable penthouse has restaurant rumors swirling: "Constructed in 1908, the building is located between Union Square and the newly expanded Westfield San Francisco Centre, one half block from Powell Street, the main streetcar route. In addition to the top-to-bottom renovation, Singha has approved plans for a two-story, 7,000-sf penthouse that could be built to suit an interested tenant, such as a restaurant."
