The San Jose Mercury has a nice state-of-the-development report on downtown Napa's fancy new Oxbow Market—or, as the article puts it, "a block-long food fantasy." Also available is the comprehensive list of vendors and eateries currently open (Taylor's, Fatted Calf, et al.) and perhaps more intriguing, those slated to arrive within the next several months, including Hog Island Oyster Company, Mission haunt (and noted non-Communist hangout) Ritual Roasters, biologist-owned sustainable fish purveyor Kanaloa Seafood, and ten outdoor stands to be occupied by local farmers.
