Seawall Lot 337

2008_04_seawall.jpgAppropriately taking place on opening day for AT&T Park and the San Francisco Giants, the first draft of the mega-project contest slated for Seawall Lot 337 (directly behind the stadium) has been released, and it's an upset so far. The Giants' plan—headlined by a restaurant-heavy lineup featuring Alice Waters and the House of Blues—finished a surprising second to a proposal co-captained by Kenwall Investments, the developer behind the Ferry Building, whose plan is heavy on art installations, galleries and wildlife habitats, with the idea being to make an art-equivalent of the Ferry Building's food mecca. Game on. [Curbed SF]
