The Dish: Joey & Eddie's Debuts, Menu Revealed

New, 8 comments

All openings, big and small, get served up on a regular basis by The Dish. Spot a newcomer in your neighborhood? Drop it like it's hot.

Even though Joseph Manzare (Globe, Zuppa et al.) has been tweaking the place for weeks now, tonight marks the official debut of Joey & Eddie's. The story of Joey & Eddie's is old news—a classic family-style Italian-American joint from the partners' childhood—so we won't rehash it, but we are very interested to see how Manzare's little experiment plays out on Washington Square. Moose's had been on life support for some time, so this new venture will either inject some much-needed life into a space or just miss all demographics (save ex-New Yorkers), and continue the dry spell. Menu after the hop. 1652 Stockton Street, between Filbert & Union, North Beach; (415) 989-7800; website
