The rare slice in time when a report of a closure coincides with news of the space's future resident? It's something we like to call Shutterwood; this is one of those times.
The Sunset: A shift is underway at 1924 Irving (between 20th and 21st), where Amisha Indian has already erected a metric shitload of ginormous signs above its storefront, not long after K's Cafe dutifully vacated the premises sometime around in the last fortnight or so. Furthermore, Amisha is already hoping to open by this Thursday, which would make for a rather speedy (record-setting?) turnaround indeed. Kitchen test runs are currently underway, and from what we can tell, most of K's Cafe's "furnishings" have been recycled.
