Curbed Rumblings: Tranny Towers and Parrot Murals

It's Friday afternoon, and that means it's time to check in with the recent happenings at our sister site and friendly neighborhood blog, Curbed SF.

1) Mural hating-neighbors cause a stir in North Beach over—you guessed it—a mural, on the facade of the old La Torre restaurant. No parrot love lost.
2) Pictured above, the Transbay Terminal master plan was presented to the public eye, and it's a biggie: "if approved, [it] will shift the city's downtown core to SoMA by surrounding the new Transbay Terminal building with a clusterfuck of skyscrapers— OK, seven skyscrapers— all exempt from the current 550-foot height limit in the area; the new Tranny Tower itself is expected to top out at around 1,200 feet."
3) The real estate rumor mill churns around Aaron Peskin, who looks great in a speedo.
4) A joint Whole Foods/Stanley Saitowitz-design project just might be coming to the Upper Market/Castro area.
