Not only has celeb chef and absentee co-owner Jonathan Waxman allowed Sebastopol's West County Grill to degenerate to a shadow of its opening self, but now his people are speaking out to the press about it, and they're not mincing words: "'Jonathan threw us to the wolves,' says Darren McRonald, who is currently doing double duty as acting GM and head chef ... Although Waxman's departure from the restaurant is still unofficial according to McRonald, he is no longer involved in the operations of the restaurant. 'Jonathan's in New York. He's away too much.'" Rumors of a second NYC restaurant in NYC probably won't help WCG matters. [Press Democrat]
