Subject: My Last Experience at Julius' Castle
______
Well, where do I start? First and foremost, I am not surprised that there is a problem between the Landlord and the Lessee. When I had dinner at Julius' Castle with some friends on December 20, 2007, and I was happy with the quality of the food and the service, however, half the restaurant was closed for "so called" repairs. One of the main attractions of eating at the "Castle" is going out on the roof top and enjoying the incredible views. That wasn't available because the roof top was under repair (like half the restaurant)? What really clued me into the fact that Julius' Castle was having problems was several weeks after having dinner I received a parking ticket from SFMTA DPT. Apparently my vehicle was double-parked by their Valet Service while I was having dinner.
Although I was upset when I received the ticket, I thought when I called Julius' Castle and told them to pay the parking ticket there would not be a problem. To my surprise they were not too concerned about my experience and said it was the Valet Company's responsibility, and so the merry-go-round began. When I could not get a hold of the Valet Company (Liberty Park Management, Inc.) for a couple weeks I called Julius' Castle again....but that is when I received a recorder saying they were temporarily closed.
So....I am sad the restaurant is closed, but not happy that I paid $350.00 for the meal, gave the Valet $20.00 for parking my car and then paid another $125.00 for a parking violation. Flaky is too kind of a word for the former Operators/Lessees and I hope they pay much more than the approximate $500.00 I had to spend for a meal for four to celebrate Christmas 2007.
