Speaking of the Ferry Building and markets, San Jose is the latest city (see: Napa, Oakland) to decide that it too wants a version of the food haven: "The city council will decide today whether to enter exclusive negotiations with McEnery and developer Barry Swenson to create an 'urban market' full of retail stores, restaurants and snazzy paseos. Officials dream that it could look like San Francisco's Ferry Building..." So when it comes to restaurants, how did San Jose miss the Bay Area boat so badly? [Merc]
