UNION SQUARE—Today, Michael Mina announced the July 15th debut of his next project, Clock Bar, directly across the lobby from his eponymous restaurant in the Westin St. Francis. It's being billed as "a celebration of the art of the cocktail and the classic American bar," will be open from 4pm to 2am, and has room for 65 seated (and 80 standing) guests. Mina designed a small plates menu for the project, and per the obsessions du jour, there will even be cocktail-food pairings. [EaterWire]
KULETOVILLE—The Rincon Hill blog brings word (and photos!) of some new seats and tables to enjoy those fancy views down on the water, though it's unclear if they are associated with the restaurants: "I noticed some new signage last week about public seating on the sidewalk between the water and the two Kuleto restaurants (Waterbar and Epic Roasthouse) ... I’m not sure what hours the seating is available (surely it gets stored at night - lest it be stolen before week’s end), but it is another nice amenity for us." [RH]
SAN FRANCISCO—As a commenter points out, it would appear that the Restaurant Whore isn't the only new face in the Examiner food section: Michael Procopio also has a new feature called Food Culture Examiner to complement Restaurant Examiner. It's a whole new generation, ladies and gents. [EaterWire]
