Napa Dispatch

An exclusive investigation by the SacBee reveals all kinds of financial mega-problems at Robert Mondavi food/wine brainchild, Napa's Copia. Among Copia's past and current problems: it has a $14 million deficit, actual attendance fell four times short of estimates, fundraiser dinners (like Julia Child's 90th birthday) somehow lost over $600,000, the IRS has been involved, and now, last year's $77 million bank bailout is under fire. We'll go ahead and file this under "Bad News." [SacBee]
