One possible scenario for Avenue G sees the shuttered restaurant returning from its "exciting concept remodel" as a blues bar, says a North Beach tipster. The bad news is that the place already devolved into a second-rate jazz joint without much success, and there's plenty of jazz competition in the area. But the hopeful news is that it really doesn't take much to usher in tourists in that area (ask Joey & Eddie's) and if—a big if, given the history—cards are played correctly, dare we say that we could see a blues bar working on that corner?
