FINANCIAL DISTRICT—Quite the tip just came in over the EaterWire, with a well-placed source contending that Rubicon is rumored to be closing. Now, to be clear, we have no official confirmation — either way, it should be noted — from the 14-year-old San Francisco mainstay, but here's what we do know: the restaurant is still taking reservations for September and Myriad Restaurant Group bossman Drew Nieporent declined to comment. The most interesting part is that an inquiry directly to the restaurant regarding an imminent closure was met with the following response from the house: "We're not sure yet."
