SAN FRANCISCO—A new promotion at Pomodoro has kids getting select dishes for free on Tuesdays, but the most interesting part of the deal is that it is only valid at half of the six San Francisco locations. Kids are welcome at the North Beach, Cow Hollow and Sunset locations, but you'll have to shell out the big bucks if you go to the Pac Heights, Noe Valley or Castro locations. We don't get it either. Maybe it has to do with the popularity of the branches? [EaterWire]
TENDERLOIN—In the shuttered Adana Kebab space at 637 Larkin, comes a new Yucatecan player in town. Go ahead and try to say its name five times fast: "The name has changed from Sol de Mexico to Oxkutzcab recently. Same owner as when it was Adana and successor businesses at this location. The chef is from Oxkutzcab in the Yucatan and Mayan/Yucatecan is the specialty here." [CH]
