Plywood Special Edition: Nettie's Crab Shack

Cow Hollow: Back in May, we revealed that Nettie's Crab Shack was taking over the shuttered Palmetto space. After a few months of stasis, work is now well underway at 2032 Union Street, complete with custom-logo plywood. Design-wise, the big change being made by Zack/deVito is the demolition of the glassed-in atrium in favor of an al fresco patio (freshly jackhammered; live destructoporn right here), where they'll be pouring a new slab of concrete to level it off with the sidewalk. Inside, among other moves, the old bar is completely doneski and will be replaced it with a butcher block top and patina'd copper. Owners Annette Yang and Brian Leitner have notables like Spruce and Chez Panisse on the resume, and fall is the due date.
