2008_07_yelpwantedsmall.jpgHell hath no fury like batty Yelpers scorned, as Jeremy Stoppelman is discovering. After Yelp deleted reviews because unsneaky business owners had "swapped positive reviews with other business owners," the censored Yelpers and would-be shillers—which include an astrologist and someone who got 25 whole signatures on YelpLawsuit.com—are trying to fight back. To his credit, Stoppelman has responded sensibly, basically saying shilling is not allowed and Yelp does ban like Chowhound, which probably broke the hearts of those who thought Yelp was an idyllic democracy free from bans and shills. Ah, Yelpers. [Chron]
