The Bauer—whose drink limit is two, NB—has an impressive three stars for Mission hotspot Beretta, lauding the gnocchi and cioppino, not to mention the (buzzworthy) cocktail-pizza combo: "... when acquaintances ask me what's new, I often find out they've already been to this Mission District restaurant, where the buzz is quickly becoming a roar. Chef-owner Ruggero Gadaldi has pulled off the restaurant turnaround of the decade ... if the drinks alone were rated, they'd be four stars.
