The Victory Garden (pictured) will get its fair amount of press and there are some star-studded discussions on tap for Labor Day's big Slow Food Nation celebration, but the crown jewels of the festival are probably the Taste Pavilions at Fort Mason. Key to the pavilions is the Green Kitchen portion, and now we have the schedule of the big-name chefs that will give demonstrations.
On the local front, chefs from the Bay's two most famous restaurants—French Laundry (Corey Lee and Peter Jacobson) and Chez Panisse (David Tanis and Cal Peternell)—will headline the festivities on Sunday along with Traci Des Jardins and Zuni's Gilbert Pilgram. The Saturday session will feature personalities from around the country (and world), including Rick Bayless, Charlie Trotter and the inimitable David Chang.
