The onetime executive chef and co-owner of Cha Cha Cha—who has also done time at Masa's and Patina—is opening a new restaurant in Marin, and it's going to be called ... Whippersnapper. The name is explained thusly: "I've been known as a whippersnapper all my life. Kind of loud, smart-alecky. The name goes with what we want the restaurant to be - a lot of fun." [MIJ]
