ADA Suits, Tiny Steps Terrorize North Beach Eateries

North Beach: The issue was briefly brought up at the beginning of the summer, but now that three employees have been laid off from XOX Truffles because of the surge of lawsuits, we thought it time to investigate. Our findings from the Columbus Avenue block—where there have been no handicap complaints, btw—are above (squint to see the steps). As pointed out, the Catch-22 is that no ramps can be added because the business aren't allowed to touch the sidewalk. Even sillier, North Beach Sushi—which is sans troublesome step—is getting shit because it has a ramp, but said ramp is too steep. Really now. Surely there must be a better compromise than milking the businesses dry, yes?
