2008_05_MC.jpgIn a quick three-minute video interview, Michael Chiarello discusses the nature of the wine program at his upcoming Yountville restaurant. The NapaStylist notes that since he has been a consumer for a few years now, he has comes to realize just how expensive wine has become, and being a vinter himself, how silly some wine markups are. As a result, he's keeping the wine list cheap at Bottega, because a) he hopes people will opt for a bottle of good wine instead of a glass and b) he wants Bottega to become an industry hangout, almost along the lines of the various Momofukus.
