SoMa: Here we have the new, modernized version of the Fly Trap. When Hoss Zare took over the century-old restaurant back last month, he only took a fortnight or so to remodel, so the changes aren't incredibly drastic (reference the before shots), but the new version is surely brighter than the old. Zare kept the wall prints, but ditched the white linens and piano for new tabletops, red paint and more light. The menu is an appealing one (though we'd say the flavors and kitchen are still finding their way), Marisa Churchill's desserts are often impressive, and in our experience, service was strong as well. Further reading on Zare at Fly Trap can be had in the Eater Archives and over at 7x7.
