The Mission: On Valencia Street, Pizzeria has sat in various states of plywood undress for almost a year now, but just when we were ready to write it off as a stillbirth, down goes the construction paper and up goes a menu! The mission statement promises the pizzas to be made "the way tradition minded Pizzaiolos have been baking pizzas for hundreds of years." You know, with options like Chicken Tikka Masala and Flaming Habanero. In any event, the restaurant tells us that they're hoping to open "maybe next week." We wouldn't hold our breath on a firm opening date, but barring any disasters, it does look like Pizzeria is going to happen at some point.
