Eater Inside: Nettie's Crab Shack

Here we have Nettie's Crab Shack, opening its Union Street doors for the first time today. Last inhabited by the short-lived Palmetto, the space was redesigned by Zack/deVito and is going for the ol' faux fish shack vibe (Semi-random sidenote: Nettie's ironically opens on the same day that the health care ordinance that a teary-eyed Palmetto famously blamed for its demise was approved). The owners have a solid pedigree and opened up the space a lot more than its previous incarnation: light woods, oxidized copper, painted chairs, a new 20-seat patio, etc. The menus are online for your perusal, and we're hoping that when Dungeness season rolls around, crab makes a stronger showing on the menu.
