Right on schedule, Charles Phan's SoMa Grand project, Heaven's Dog, will open this week. The new opening date is technically Friday, but they are only accepting reservations for Saturday and beyond (we'll refer those interested to OpenTable). Bonus wisdom from Sir Charles comes via the BizTimes: "As for opening during a recession, Phan said you simply need to be sure to have enough capital to cover one year's rent, perhaps lower the price point and hope that you serve a product that people want."
