Plywood: More Details on the Morton's Expansion

Union Square: Speaking of changes in the Union Square area, we've come across a few more notable details in Morton's expansion into the space next door. Work started last week, and is expected to be complete come April. Here are some fun facts to tide you over until then: the size will double from 8,000 square feet to a massive 15,000 and the design will be reminiscent of the San Jose location. The dining room will move to the street level overlooking Union Square; also on that level will be a new bar/lounge called The 1221 Bar and a glass-enclosed wine room. Meanwhile, the basement/current dining room will be converted into five private rooms. Total cost for the renovation: a cool $3 million.
