If at First You Don't Get on Top Chef, Just Go on Chopped

Top Chef on the left; Chopped on the right

Thanks to a sharp-eyed commenter, it's come to our attention that one of the four contestants on the premiere episode of Chopped—the Food Network's hybrid of Iron Chef and Top Chef that is not as good as either show—was also one of the slighted applicants on this season's second episode of Top Chef, a.k.a. the ep where the Top Cheffers cook at Craft for chefs who didn't make the show. Clearly, this Perry Pollaci fellow (or his incredible doppelganger) would very much like to be on television. As for Chopped, well, when the name of the game is differentiation from other food shows, picking up Top Chef leftovers might not be the best plan of attack.
