The Bib Gourmand picks for the 2010 Michelin guide dropped last week, and this morning, the French red book released the main event, the stars.
The French Laundry remains the sole three-star restaurant, and the returning two stars are Coi, Cyrus, Manresa and Meadowood. Michael Mina was demoted down to one star, while Aqua lost both its stars. New to the one-star level this year are Aziza, Commis, Etoile, La Toque, Luce, Sante, Solbar, and Ubuntu. Quince also regained its star after a year hiatus.
Oddly enough, both El Paseo and Trevese each got a star as well, despite being, you know, closed. Restaurants that lost their only star this year: Bistro Jeanty and Martini House.
