Sad news from Hawthorne Lane, where chef/owner David Gingrass will be shuttering Two near the end of the calendar year. He had an original 10-year lease with two five-year options, and after 15 years in SoMa (it started as Hawthorne Lane, remember), Gingrass—who made his name under Wolfgang Puck at Postrio—decided to decline the second option. There's no official date for the shutter yet, but the staff has already been told, and the finale will likely take place a little before Christmas, so do tell it goodbye before then.
