The NYT's Bay Area Blog shares an update on the city's so-called War on Fun. Next week is the big vote regarding proposals that would a) allow the Entertainment Commission to issue more late-late night (2AM-6AM) permits and b) allow the EC to temporarily suspend nightclubs from operating. Not everyone is in favor of the late-late hours though: "some citizens' groups ... [say] high concentrations of clubs running on their existing schedules in neighborhoods such as North Beach already wreak havoc on their peace and peace of mind." Their peace and their peace of mind!
