Courtesy of the mind of John Mariani, Esquire's annual Best New Restaurants list was unveiled yesterday. Last year, local lady Dominique Crenn took the top prize as Mariani's Chef of the Year, an honor that went to DC's Barton Seaver this time around. On the local beat, only a pair of Bay Area newcomers made the overall cut: Michael Chiarello's Bottega and Nopa's Mexican offshoot, Nopalito. [~EN~]
