Blue Bottle Open Early, Samuelsson at the White House?

OAKLAND—Boys and girls, Blue Bottle has officially rolled out its extended hours at its Oakland cafe/roastery: weekdays from 7AM to 5PM. [Twitter]

SOMA—This Friday is the ninth annual Taste & Tribute. Thrown every year by the Tibetan Aid Project, proceeds go to helping the Tibetan culture, and as usual, there's a ridiculous pantheon of 23 local chefs involved. [EaterWire]

OBAMARAMA—Hubert Keller was the first guest chef at the White House (he cooked for the Clintons twice), but the Obama administration continues to stack up the celebrity chef visits. Rumor has it that Marcus Samuelsson might be following in the footsteps of Bobby Flay and Michael Psilakis in the Obama-Endorsed chef category. [Eater National]

LAUNCHES & RELEASES— It may come as a surprise that millions of hot 'n' lonely singles spend their days perusing Jamie Oliver's website (it surprised us too), but in a new partnership with Match.com, a section of Oliver's official site is now devoted to dating, bearing the precious tagline "where food lovers meet." Oliver is nothing if not a man with missions: He has already saved school children from gloppy lunches, and stumped around the U.S. on an anti-obesity tour. Matchmaking is just the logical next step. Right? [UTM via Eater National]
