Cafe Mozart Likely Nearing the End of Its 30-Year Run?

Up on Nob Hill, it's no secret that Cafe Mozart (the one that calls itself San Francisco's most romantic restaurant) has been on the market quite some time. Owner Fredy Fahrni tells Eater that he's been wanting to sell so that he can finally retire and ride off into the sunset. Though Fahrni is very quick to insist that there are no transactions confirmed, signed or completed quite yet and there are multiple parties of suitors involved, it seems that his 31-year-old establishment might be nearing a sale, seeing as how Matthew McNamara and Teague Moriarty have filed some liquor applications to open Alcove in the space. Stay tuned.
