Urbanspoon launched its own online reservation platform earlier this year with the hope of challenging market leader OpenTable, and it was only a matter of time before someone incorporated the Twitters into the fold. Currently in beta mode in San Francisco only is Tweservation, which is dubbing itself "Your Twitter resource for restaurants.." So far, 13 restaurants have signed on, and it's strong list (Bar Bambino, COCO500, Garibaldi’s, Gitane, Home, Orson, to name a few). And the cartoon Twitter bird logo is writing is writing down reservations! See what they did there?
But it needs to be said: isn't the easiest—and most immediate—way still to just, you know, call the damn restaurant?
